She turned off the TV, and closed the news websites. Most of it should not be classed as news, just second rate gossip. The rest of it was depressing and repetitive. There is a crisis, we know! The bubble had to burst at some point. Thanks for pointing it out, again. She found solace in the one medium that was providing her with real entertainment. Lurking In The Shadows

The Librarian looked at her domain. History, literature, knowledge; her place of learning and contemplation. Or so it seemed. Her torturer was here, lurking, hiding in the shadows that she used to hide within. Ruining the harmony that once existed. This torture was something most took for granted. But it was destructive like a storm – with no meaning or reason. That haunting cliché: Progress for the sake of Progress.
Daybreak

The sky looked like a bloodshot eye, bleary and unwilling to wake. But why should it? Why should it open itself to the searing rays of dawn, for what purpose is this cycle happening again? It seemed an eternal question to so many, why does the day have to come again, why do we have to wake, go to work, school. What is the reason for it all? But they are no more now. The great Apocalypse solved all the hard questions.
