A Chance Encounter Explains Quite A Bit About Recent And Not-So-Recent Events
by Eric TF Bat on May.05, 2009, under Eric TF Bat, Poetry, SF/Fantasy
While visiting family in Hell,
I followed a hideous smell,
And found on a rack,
With a knife in his back,
A member of their personnel:
A demon who’d wandered the Earth
Who told me his sin without mirth:
Of a lass he’d surprised
In his angel disguise,
Resulting in virginal birth.
The son she produced, you may know,
A couple of eons ago,
Was the source of the game
That is mainly to blame
For the bad overcrowding below!

And now for something new: the first FaceFic poem, courtesy of Emma.
The aether is dormant, the wastelands austere,
The voices are silent. I am still here,
Abiding the nothing, awaiting a sign,
Some hope, just a glimmer, something of thine.
The monitor flickers, as something is through
(System generated) nothing of you.
I tweak my responses and update my Stat,
Aware of the unceasing glare of my cat.
Loneliness tightens its grip, now I know,
My life in the numbers Online Friends: Zero.
